BP AMOCO CASE STUDY - Wytch Farm Development

BP Amoco have developed Wytch Farm into the largest onshore oil and gas field in Western Europe. In the early years they turned to Sillson Communications for support and backup in integrating a new oilfield into an area of outstanding natural beauty; that was 15 years ago - Today we're still selected for our experience to supply creative communication solutions.

Client Objectives
To develop a contact, capable of providing a quality, proactive, cost effective and timely service, covering a wide range of communication issues. To work within a diverse project and operations team and provide ongoing support.

Client Brief
The oilfield development is situated within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Dorset UK, with many environmental designations and restrictions, therefore extreme care needed to be exercised in the selection and choice of various wellsite and pipeline export routes, enabling conservation areas and Sites of Special Scientific Interest to be avoided or skirted around. To provide ongoing input to assist in the production and delivery of an integrated communications strategy.
