Stag Energy is an independent UK based energy company involved in the development and management of innovative projects in the rapidly evolving electricity and gas sectors.
Gateway Storage Co. Ltd. plans to build an underground natural gas storage facility in the East Irish Sea approximately 25km offshore. The salt caverns below the seabed will enable gas from the UK’s national gas transmission system to be delivered, stored and then returned via pipeline and a gas compression station near Barrow-in-Furness.
Client Objectives
Sillson Communications were retained to provide communications services with in-depth knowledge of the local area and proven track record in the energy industry to explain the concept of underground salt cavern gas storage to the general public, local and national government in a clear and concise manner. .

Client Brief
Sillson Communications worked with an existing communications consultant to provide additional services outside their area of expertise. To assist in areas of high work load to ensure that the planning consent was achieved on time and to a very tight deadline.
